Our Water Quality department acts as a consultancy and services department. The
consultants deliver solutions so you can comply to internationals laws and to
assure that your crew is working in safe conditions. Corrosion and biofilm may
cause serious health risks, system failures and an unsafe environment on board.
You are able to prevent these issues by using our expertise in potable water
equipment and installation technology.
Water management
plan
Water systems can be upgraded to
a safe system by implementing our Risk Assessment and Management Plan (RAMP).
It is our goal to increase the safety of your crew and the quality of your
potable water system. Every Management Plan is tailor-made after a visit on
board by one of our qualified Water Quality Consultants and forms an essential
part of any good HSE procedure.
Worldwide water
tests
We provide worldwide sampling,
analysis, quality reports and on board audits to assess the chemical,
microbiological and physical condition of your water and therefore the health of
your crew.
Cleaning &
Disinfection
After a while every piping
system will face problems with fouling, due to sedimentation, corrosion and/or
biofouling. To resist and prevent problems with the drinking water quality, is
it necessary to clean the piping system. Without cleaning bacteria, such as
Legionella or E-Coli can grow in the piping system without hinder. The Water
Quality Department has the knowledge and experience to clean and disinfect your
complete drinking water system on board.
Potable Water
Courses
We provide a Potable Water
Course for your crew. Your engineers and medics learn all about water treatment
and water management on board, leaving them with valuable knowledge on how to
maintain a good and healthy water system. Topics like water maker technology,
disinfection, sampling and analyses and water management plan are discussed.
With this knowledge you are even allowed to operate in Norwegian waters.
